Frequently asked questions

Q1: Who is this for?

Women who are exhausted from losing themselves in relationships, repeating the same patterns, and not understanding why. If you've ever called self-abandonment "love" or felt like you were drowning while everyone else seemed fine — this is for you. You don't need to have it figured out. You just need to be done going under.

Q5: What makes your approach different?

I'm not a corporate coach with a 10-step program and a vision board. I'm a remote nurse who spent 10+ years in the Australian Outback keeping people alive while drowning myself. I lived the patterns I now help women break. My approach combines psychology, attachment theory, and real survival lessons — not from a textbook, but from the loneliest corners of the desert where you can't run from yourself anymore. No fluff. No toxic positivity. Just real talk and tools that encourages self-reflection and transformation.

Q3: What's your coaching style?

Real talk. Real psychology. Zero bullshit. I'm a remote nurse who lived the patterns I now help women break. I combine attachment theory with survival lessons from the Australian Outback. Think therapy meets desert wisdom. No corporate jargon. No toxic positivity.

Q6: How do I book a session or speaking engagement?

For 1-on-1 coaching: Email me at stella@theoutbackgirlwithafloatie.com with "Coaching" in the subject line. We'll schedule a free 15-minute discovery call to see if we're a good fit. For speaking engagements: Email with "Speaking" in the subject and include your event details (date, audience, topic). For podcast interviews: Email with "Podcast" in the subject and tell me about your show. I'm currently based in the Australian Outback, so my WiFi is terrible but my response time is solid. Limited coaching spots available.

Q3: What does a typical coaching session look like?

We meet via video call for 60 minutes. I'm not here to tell you what to do. I'm here to help you see the patterns you've been swimming in. We'll explore your attachment style, identify your triggers, unpack why you abandon yourself, and build actual tools to stay afloat. It's a mix of psychology, hard questions, and probably some tears. But also relief. Because finally, someone gets it.

Q4: How long does coaching take?

It depends on you. Some women need a few sessions to see their patterns clearly. Others work with me for months to rebuild their foundation. There's no pressure, no packages, no commitment traps. We go at your pace. You decide when you're ready to swim solo.

Q7: Are you a Psychologist?

NO I'M NOT. I'm a registered nurse with 10+ years of experience, currently completing my Diploma of Counselling. I combine lived experience, attachment theory, and psychology-backed tools — but I'm not providing therapy or clinical treatment.

Q8: What is the difference between a coach and a psychologist ?

THERAPY/PSYCHOLOGY (Not YET): - Diagnoses mental health conditions - Treats clinical disorders (depression, PTSD, etc.) - Can prescribe medication (psychiatrists) - Regulated healthcare profession - Often insurance-covered

COACHING (what I do now): - Helps you understand patterns and build tools - Focuses on attachment styles and relationship dynamics - No diagnosis or clinical treatment - Personal development and growth-focused - Not covered by insurance Think of it this way: A psychologist helps you heal trauma. A coach helps you break patterns.
